The Holy Scriptures<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Bible translation used at Emmanuel Baptist Church is the King James Version. We believe it to be God\u2019s Word for the English-speaking people. The Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the foundation of our statement of faith.
\u201cAll scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness<\/em><\/strong>.<\/strong>\u201d<\/em> \u2014 2 Timothy 3:16 (KJV)<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

God the Father<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We believe in God the Father Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth.
\u201cIn the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.\u201d<\/strong> <\/em>\u2014 Genesis 1:1 (KJV)<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jesus Christ<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We believe in Jesus Christ, His Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, willingly and vicariously suffered and died on the cross, was buried, and rose again on the third day. He is seated at the right hand of the Father, where He intercedes for us.

\u201cHe is risen, as he said.\u201d<\/strong> <\/em>\u2014 Matthew 28:6 (KJV)<\/a><\/em>

The Holy Spirit<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, who inspired the writing of the Holy Scriptures and convicts mankind of sin.
\u201cFor the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.\u201d<\/strong> <\/em>\u2014 2 Peter 1:21 (KJV)<\/a><\/em>
\u201cAnd when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/strong> \u2014 John 16:8 (KJV)<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last Things<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We believe in the second coming of Christ, the bodily resurrection, and life everlasting.
\u201cFor the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout\u2026\u201d <\/em><\/strong>\u2014 1 Thessalonians 4:16 (KJV)<\/a><\/em>
\u201cAnd these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.\u201d<\/em> <\/strong>\u2014 Matthew 25:46 (KJV)<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Church<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We band ourselves together as a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ, personally committed to sharing the good news of salvation with lost mankind.

Ordinances<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The ordinances of the church are baptism and the Lord\u2019s Supper.
